The full title of this book by THOMAS J. HUTCHINSON is BUENOS AYRES and ARGENTINE GLEANINGS With Extracts From A Diary Of SALADO EXPLORATION In 1862 and 1863. Published in London in 1865 by EDWARD STANFORD. The book size is 8vo or 9 x 6" of 321 pages with two maps and 24 illustrations on plates. The map of the Republic 'in pocket' is not present and from what I can ascertain from other editions it was never in the book at publication. The covers and spine show wear as pictured and it is a little loose on front cover. Internally the pages are very clean and tidy with only very light spotting or browning in evidence on a few pages.Signed on front page ....J. N. GORDON Sept. 1866.
