Regimental History Of New Zealand Cyclist Corps In The Great War- 1922 First Edition

A Rare book published in New Zealand by Whitcombe & Tombs Ltd in 1922. Book size is 22 cm X 15 cm of 139 pages. Condition is very good...some small light discoloration here and there but in general very clean and tidy....no dust jacket. Compiled and written by Officers of The Corps with the Foreword by Lieut. Colonel C.H. Evans, D.S.O. Officer Commanding N.Z. Cyclist Battalion, Mons, Belgium. An interesting and complete account of this small Corps which never had more than 800 officers and men on its strength. Almost the entire narrative is devoted to their services in Egypt and on the Western Front. Detached from the NZEF, the Corps was assigned to XXII Corps as Mounted Troops..... they saw service at Messines, Gravenstafel, Passchendaele, Ypres, Kemmel, and at the 2nd Battle of the Somme. An Original 1922 EDITION and an important historical work and one that is highly collectible.
