Vought A-7E Corsair II carrier-capable subsonic light attack aircraft. US Navy Attack Squadron 86 (VA-86) Sidewinders, AJ400, USS America. Designed with sea-based strike capability in mind, the A-7E provided a platform for heavier payloads and greater range than its predecessors. The designation Corsair II being a tribute to the renown F4U Corsair fighter bomber of World War II and the Korean War. Diecast metal model with some plastic parts. Opening canopy, removable pilot figure, working swing wings, and removable ordnance. Approx. 20.5cm x 16cm (8" x 6.25"). NO DISPLAY STAND.
