McDonnell Douglas F/A-18F Super Hornet NG100, US Navy Fighter Squadron VFA-41 Black Aces, USS John C. Stennis. Celebrating the 70th Anniversary of VF-41 Black Aces, which was commissioned on June 1st, 1945 flying F4U Corsairs. The F/A-18F Super Hornet is a land and carrier-capable, supersonic, all-weather fighter, which can convert from fighter to strike mode with the flick of a switch. It has proven operationally that a single aircraft can operate as both a bomber and a fighter on the same mission. Diecast metal model, with some plastic parts. Movable elevators, deployable speed brake, detailed landing gear, and independently hinged stabilators and rudders. Stunning model. Does not come with a display stand.
