Jewish Chaplain's Badge WWII Era
In Mint condition made of white metal with makers name J.R. GAUNT B'HAM stamped on the copper lug. The badge measures 2" x 1 5/8". There appears to be considerable dissension and discussion on these badges with some swearing they are Jewish Chaplain's badges while others say they are not...others say possibly WW11 Jewish Brigade or maybe from the Palestine Partition era and creation of Israel. Then again some others mention Trinidad & Tobago and also parts of Africa. Without doubt we have The Star of David to centre and the Kings Crown at top with laurel Wreath surround and of of course Gaunt was a very well regarded maker of military and other badges.
