Masthead Lamp from Old Valparaiso Ferry Boat - Chile Circa 1900
Found in Valparaiso, Chile, on a recent buying trip in South America. The seller advised me that this came off a very old FERRY BOAT and was at least 100 years of age. Certainly the lamp looks all of that age...the copper body has had repairs and dents & dings all over but what a wonderful old piece of maritime memorabilia it is....it screams age & 'Character' ! The lamp measures 8" in height, 91/4" in width, and 4 1/2" in depth......as pictured the original paraffin burner is still intact also. No makers marks.
