De Havilland Mosquito Night Intruder FB.VI HJ719/TH-U, No.418 Squadron Royal Canadian Air Force, Ford airfield, March 1944. Known as ‘Moonbeam McSwine’ due to its nose art of a ‘Li’l Abner’ comic character of the same name. Piloted by American James Forrest "Lou" Luma and navigator Colin Finlayson. The Mosquito FB Mk.VI fighter-bomber became the most numerous and widely-used Mosquito variant. Its speed and agility were backed-up by a formidable armament of four Browning 0.303" machine-guns in the nose and four Hispano 20 mm cannon in the belly. Diecast model with rotating props, crew figures, and display stand. Landing gear can be posed up or down. Approx. 17cm x 23cm (6.75" x 9").
