The Spitfire Mk XII was the first production Spitfire powered by the Rolls-Royce Griffon engine. The Griffon was a development of the “R” sprint engine used in Supermarine’s Schneider Trophy racing seaplanes of the late 1920s and early 1930s, giving the Mk XII exceptional power and performance in combat.
This 1/48 scale plastic kit allows you to build a detailed model of this historic aircraft.
