117th Aviation Company, 52nd Combat Aviation Battalion, was one of the first Aviation Units to be deployed to Vietnam. Huey's of the 117th flew some of the first helicopter sorties of the Vietnam War. A name change to 117th Assault Helicopter Company, accompanied Ash and Trash, resupply, and Mede-vac Gunship escort duties. Diecast metal model, with plastic rotors. Approx. 16.5cm (6.5") long. Main rotor is approx. 18.5cm (7") long. Comes with a plastic display stand. A great little model, well priced.
