Pro Calculo! Mechanical addiator - Germany Circa 1920 - 1929

A really early Mechanical Addiator calculator with stylus and pouch.......BRANDED PRO CALCULO! Metal with leatherette / cardboard pouch..... made by Otta Meuter, Germany from 1920 to 1929. The 'Pro Calculo!' is a single sided addiator type calculator with an aluminium case, fixed within a red and black patterned leatherette casing with side section for housing a stylus. The device consists of eight grooved vertical columns with silver and red teeth, each with numerals '0:9' embossed on the left hand side. Above the columns are nine accumulator windows, containing red numerals, based on the related calculation. A metal reset bar can be pulled out at the top. The stylus pen is made from metal and features a flat top at one end and a pointed tip at the other for inserting into the grooved columns. Measures 5 1/2" x 3 3/4". Very good condition for age.
