A small 2 1/2" x 1" SHEPARD'S Odometer Made by the Waterbury Buckle Co, Conn. USA with a patent date of Sept.14 1897. Used on Penny Farthing Bikes. IT appears likely that this model is a later edition. Excellent condition.
