Royal Doulton Art Deco 'Galleons' Large Jug -Circa 1923-1927
A stunning earthenware piece from Royal Doulton's Burslem Pottery in Staffordshire. The Jug has a series ware number of D 2677 and is usually referred to as "Galleon" series. The Top Rim has a Band of Yellow Seagulls on a Brown Background . The Band occurs on both the Inside of the Jug as well as the Outside. The Pitcher or Jug is cylindrical in Shape and measures 7 3/8 inches in height with a rim diameter of is 4 1/2" and a base of 4" in diameter. There are some rust stains on inner rim... refer pictures.....may be removeable...otherwise in excellent overall condition.
