Vintage Bakelite and Plastic Darning Mushroom

This 1940's-1950's Darning Mushroom has a brown . bakelite base / handle and a lime green plastic screw on top. Inside is an aluminium reflector plate and small bulb...the stem handle is hollow to allow battery's to be inserted....twist the handle and the mushroom head lights up to make your darning easier on the eyes. Branded DARN-A -LITE, Made in England We have two others of these...one green and one with a yellow top but neither have the interior light bits.
